Buildora Privacy Policy

Buildora LLC ("Buildora", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Buildora mobile and web application (the "Service"). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you use Buildora, we collect:

• Account Information: email address, name, company name, phone number, and password (stored as an encrypted hash)
• User Content: construction blueprints (PDFs, images, DXF/CAD files), project names, addresses, material lists, bid requests, and associated metadata that you upload or generate
• Usage Data: project interactions, feature usage, error logs, and performance metrics used to improve the Service
• Payment Information: processed exclusively by Stripe. Buildora does not store your full card number. We retain only transaction metadata (subscription tier, renewal date, last-4 of card)
• Device Information: device type, OS version, app version, crash reports

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information collected to:

• Deliver the Service (blueprint analysis, pricing, RFQs, exports, collaboration)
• Process subscription payments and send billing receipts
• Send transactional emails (password reset, RFQ notifications, bid updates)
• Improve accuracy of our AI models (only with explicit opt-in for training data)
• Detect fraud, abuse, and security threats
• Comply with legal obligations

We do NOT sell your personal information. We do NOT use your data for third-party advertising.

3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Buildora shares limited data with these processors, each bound by their own privacy policies:

• OpenAI — blueprint content is sent to OpenAI for AI analysis. See <https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy>
• SerpAPI — material names (not user info) are queried against SerpAPI to retrieve live supplier pricing. See <https://serpapi.com/legal/privacy-policy>
• Stripe — payment processing. See <https://stripe.com/privacy>

• MongoDB Atlas — encrypted database storage. See <https://www.mongodb.com/legal/privacy-policy>

4. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time:

In-app: Settings → Danger Zone → Delete My Account

Account deletion removes your user record, all projects and blueprints, RFQs, bids, exports, and associated analytics. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

5. DATA SECURITY

We use industry-standard safeguards:
• All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS 1.2+
• Passwords hashed with bcrypt
• Database encryption at rest
• Session tokens with automatic expiration
• Regular security reviews

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Buildora is a professional tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has registered, contact us to remove the account.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) you may have rights to:
• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Export your data (available in-app under Settings)
• Delete your data (available in-app under Settings → Danger Zone)
• Opt out of marketing communications

8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Buildora servers are hosted in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. under applicable data protection frameworks.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email and the "Effective Date" above will be updated.
